Week 6

Auna now weighs in at 9lb 5oz. She's not packing on the pounds, but the ounces are adding up. I am hoping she will get a bit bigger soon, so I can start getting her into all the cute clothes I have for 3 months. I put outfits on her that I think will fit and she is swimming in them. I know she will be big before we know it, so I am enjoying our little peanut for now.

We plan on being home for a solid week, before hitting the road again for the cabin. We are close to getting back on schedule as far as feedings and sleeping. Having somewhat of a routine sure makes the days easier.

Above are a couple great pictures from Brainerd. My mom had on her "bikini" and we all had a good laugh. She had forgotten what she was wearing and went about the morning. Kind of funny when you see it in the photos.

The Brothers Kugel

all dressed up

Over Memorial weekend, Al's youngest brother Jon married Danielle (finally :) ). It was a great day and we are so happy for the two of them. I am glad to have such a wonderful new sister-in-law.  It was Auna's first time all dressed up. She looked pretty darn cute. I didn't get a picture with her sweater and bonnet on, but will try to get one next time she gets all gussied up. After a quick trip to Winona, we headed to Brainerd. We had to pick up our other child, addie, and make sure the boat worked :). We were able to get out there for the afternoon while grandma and grandpa watched the kids. We were sure lucky as Monday was cloudy. We made our way back to Fargo Tuesday morning. Al went to work and Auna and I tried to catch up on sleep and get back somewhat on schedule. It was a long weekend, but we are so thankful to be close to friends and family.

Week 5

Auna is getting bigger and to us, more cute by the day. We took our first road trip with her the other weekend for Mother's Day to the cities. We had a great time going out to lunch with Grandma Rosstedt and Nanalu. It was fun to spend time all together. We looked at baby pictures of Al and myself to try to decide which one Auna looks like more. I voted she looks more like my baby picture, but then at other times, I can really see Al. I think we decided she is a good mix of the two of us. I am sure it will become more clear as she gets older.

Last weekend we had a photographer come out to the house and take some baby photos of our little peanut. We are still waiting for the proofs, but I am hoping they turn out good. After the big shoot, we headed to the cabin to help get it ready for summer. Auna was able to meet her cousin, Gavin and spend more time with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Derek. We will be back this weekend for more family time.

Before we go to the cabin we are headed to Winona for Al's brother Jon's wedding. It will be Auna's first time in a dress and I can't wait to take some photos. She will get to meet the Kugel side of the family. It should be a good time and we will post some photos when we return.

Enjoy the photos and video.
The photos of the babies are Auna and Amelia Muellner (she is the daughter of Al's good friend Matt Muellner - she is 3 weeks older).
Gavin is now 6 and was a good helper over the weekend.

Week 4

Auna will be 4 weeks on Thursday. She is doing just great and getting bigger. She now weighs in at 8lbs and 7oz. She has grown out of a few of her newborn outfits, but is still pretty small, so the larger 3 month clothes are a bit big. I am sure she will fill those out soon. I enjoy dressing her in all the cute outfits she has received. We had her first doctor visit last week and she came in the 93% for height and 35% for weight. Sounds like a Kugel to me. Tall and skinny. Hopefully she keeps that going :)

We are planning our first trip this weekend. Al will be enjoying the fishing opener with some friends and Auna and I will be hanging out in Plymouth. We are going to have a nice lunch with both grandmas. We are looking forward to it.

My friend Becki came to for a visit the last few days. It was sweet to see her with Auna. She was excellent help and she enjoyed the diaper changes (even the bad ones) and was in charge of the bottle feedings. Thanks Becki for a great visit and come again soon!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
