Father's Day!

Auna woke her dad up in her "I love Daddy" one-sie on Sunday. She was super happy as you can see from the pictures. She told me it was because she loved her dad so very much.  She said she loved how much time he spends with her and all the funny things he tells her about. She is the luckiest girl in the world. Thanks for being so wonderful Al!!

It has been pretty hot outside, so I decided Auna needed a pool (well, it was really an excuse to put her in all her swimsuits - this is just the first one :) )  She was also able to try out some shades she received from my friend Megan. They cracked me up - thanks Megan! She sure enjoys her time in the water. Addie checked on her and tested the water. All was well and from what I could tell, she liked it.

Posted are a few other photos from the day. Our friends Corey and Stacey gave her some bunny slippers and she was giving those a ride on the couch. They are really cute.

Hope all the Fathers out there had a good day as well!

Oregon - Wedding

Auna all dressed up for the wedding

I LOVE the bonnet!

Al & Jeff (father of the groom)

The bride and groom (Doug & Bethany)

Trish & I - I sure miss her!
We always have a good time and lots of laughs.

The girls - Emily, Katie and Elizabeth

On Saturday we went to Doug and Bethany's wedding in Longview, WA. Doug is the eldest son of Al's boss from Xerox, Jeff. They are such a sweet couple. It was fun to see them start their life together. Doug just graduated from the Air Force Academy in Denver. He has been stationed down south and they will be heading there this summer. When we met the Bannings, their youngest, Katie was 2 years old. It is amazing how fast time passes. It was fun to see them and have them meet Auna. She was very good and slept most of the day. She looked like a little baby doll with her bonnet on and cuddled up in people's arms. I think she may need to wear her bonnet more, I just couldn't get enough of it!!

Getting Big

Mother's day dinner with the family

Nanalu, Grandma and little Auna on Mother's Day

Auna is doing just great. She is getting so big, we are even noticing it. Al measured her the other day and she was 24" and I would guess she is a bit over 10 lbs. She loves to watch her mobile and the ceiling fans. The video above was from the other day when I woke up and looked over at her and she was just hanging out in her bed smiling and kicking while watching the ceiling fan. Since she was so happy, I decided to move her mobile over her to say good morning to her friends. She did and then she had her breakfast. She is always looking around taking everything in. It is fun to see all the little changes that are happening and her development. Hope you enjoy the video.

Oregon - Phil's house

We stayed at our old neighbor and friend's house while we were in Oregon. Since we lived there, Phil has moved up into the mountains and acquired a few furry friends. He has chickens, ducks, cats, a dog, a goat and a cow. He has a beautiful place in Scappoose, OR where, once you are there, you never want to leave. We had such a good time with Phil, Melissa, Morgan and Ashley while we were there. Again, I wished we lived closer to get to see them more often.
Here are some photos of the animals.

One of the kitties they adopted while we were there.
Not sure if this is Snap, Crackle or Pop, but it sure is cute!

Auna meeting her 1st cow. His name is Bullshit.
We won't tell her that though :)

Here's Oreo!

Oreo trying to sneak a kiss to Auna.

Just my sweet little girl enjoying the outdoors.

And here is Billy. He was just a pup when we moved to Fargo.
He is a big sweetheart.

Cannon Beach

Now that's a big tree!

We stopped for breakfast at Camp 18 on the way to the coast.

The Sady family

We made our first trip together as a family last week and Auna took her first plane ride. We went to Oregon for a wedding and to visit friends. Auna was awesome on the plane. She slept the whole way without a fuss. I couldn't ask for a better baby. We arrived at 10:30 am Wednesday and were greeted by our friend and neighbor Phil. We stayed at his house in Scappoose for the time we were there. He and his family were so gracious. We stayed in the master bedroom and they lent us a vehicle to use the entire time we were there. It was wonderful. I will post photos of all his animals on another post.

Thursday, Auna and I had lunch with some of my old coworkers and hit a couple stores. It was great to see everyone and introduce them to the little Kugel. Al and Phil hung out in Scappoose for the day and we all had a really nice dinner later that evening.

Friday, we headed to the beach with the Sady family. We stopped for breakfast on the way to the coast, took some photos (above) and then walked the beach. We stopped closer to Haystack Rock for the boys to play in the sand. It was fun to watch them with their dad. They were busy digging and chasing birds. As much as we are enjoying Auna, I can't wait to be able to do more things with her. We had good weather (which is rare) and a great time.

Friday night we had a neighborhood BBQ. We all met at the Frawley's house and had a blast. It was great to see everyone and talk about all the good times we shared. We sure miss everyone and wished we lived closer.
